Friend asking to give signature in court marriage any consequences

Hello i am from mumbai my friend is asking me to to help him in courtroom marriage.. he is asking me to give my signature on it .. so its legal ?
In court marriage, there is 2 witnesses necessary.... If your friend is doing legal court marriage and go through the legal procedure. Then there is no fear to give signature in the register of court marriage.

By signing before marriage registration authority you would be only to witness of their marriage.
If you are filling that further there may be completion between their family so kept himself away from it. If there is not any such possibility and the proper notice has been given by authority before getting registered the matter then there is not any wrong to be witness of their marriage.

Court marriage you mean yes it legal . You will sign as witness from one of parties side. You need to carry you identity prof which should be a photo identity . There is no legal burden on you if some thing crops up in future . Just make sure people who are entering in marriage are minors
