you have right but you would not wantto use them against your father. You are protected as a minor under the law against any cruel treatment from parents but then if you avail that it might lead to strain in your relations

It is small situation. You should first convince your father . You have a legal right if any of your family member or anyone threatens you. But i think you should resolve this problem mutually rather than court.

Instead of going for legal action u can simply try to make him understand since he is still your guardian till you turn 18. And it the threatening is way too much. Kindly file an FIR against your father stating all the facts and dates regarding how the threatening started and how it's going on. You can even contact 100 number when any incident takes places at the very same time.

You have all rights and protection available in law against any kind of verbal physical or psychological violence from anyone including your parents.
