Family is in wrongful possession of my passport how can i get it back

My family members[My mom and my sister's family] are considering me as a mentally ill patient and forcing me with doctor visits and taking medicines.They have snatched my passport and not allowing me to marry a person in US who is ready to marry me.Both of us are adults. First Question: How can I get back my passport from my family members ????? Second Question: If I marry that person when he comes to India,will that marriage be voided by my family members by stating that I am a mentally ill patient to the police?Can I argue with the police that the marriage is legal and acceptable? Kindly suggest me the right solution so that I can go back to USA by marrying that person.
