Does step mother have right in the property of my biological mother

01-Apr-2023 (In Family Law)

My question is Does my Step Mother have a right over my deceased Mothers property? My mother passed away 6 years back and my father passed away 6 months back. My father re married and the marriage lasted 4 years until he passed away and he did not have any child out of his second marriage. But step mother has had a daughter from her first marriage. What rights does step mother have in my mothers property? (Property is still till today in the name of my mother, we haven't got it changed). She is claiming my mothers property. We are Hindus

no share is avaiable to the setp mother in the proeprties of your mother, the leagl sucession calim be calimed by only leagal sucessors and cals heirs and she does not fall in the said ambit, so she cannot claim any right over your mother property.

your step mother has no right in any property of your mother. since it is absolute property of your mother. your step mother can only claim for maintenance from your father's property.
you need not worry she has no right on your mother's property.

Step mother will not have any right in property of your mother. The Inheritance always depends on nature of acquisition, i.e. how your mother got the right in the particular property. If your mother got the right from her own earnings, streedhana, etc., nobody can touch her property in anyway till she alive.
