Defence when apprehension of being booked under false charges

10-Jul-2023 (In Family Law)
I am having a doubt on my sister-in-law that she might lodge a false police complaint against me. Let me tell you why? She is getting separated from my brother-in-law and she had asked for an alimony (18 to 20 Lakh) from my wife's family but my wife's family didn't give that and in return, they had filled a case against her. So now the case is going on in the court from last 3 to 4 months and she is not finding any way to recover this amount. My father-in-law and mother-in-law have a lot of love and affection towards me, so now my sister-in-law is planning to file some kind of case against me as I will be leaving for Europe in Sept 1st week for my post graduation and she doesn't want that to happen just because she wants to take a revenge. So, my query is... 1.Can she file a false case against me without any proof? If yes then what all kind of sections can she apply? 2.What are the pre-requisite steps which I can take just to safeguard things from my end?

It can not be said specifically that what all charges she can apply but generally it may be domestic violence etc. However you can report the matter to the police as she did not need any proof initially for registration of complaint .Evidence and proofs will be seen in the court.
