Can my girlfriend marry against her parents wish

10-May-2023 (In Family Law)
My girlfriend is Christian and i am Hindu. she is aged 24 and mine is 25.the girls family is strictly against the relationship. What will happen if the girl suddenly leaves her home and come and stay with me with her own consent of being married to me. Can the girl's family lodge a complaint on boy's name and can harass the boy's family? If so, then what are the remedies that we should take to avoid the boy's family to face any problem and under which section of law? Please help.

Where the girl is a major, she can marry without the consent of her parents. Her parents cannot take any legal action against you for marrying their daughter against their will. A girl who is above the age of 18 can marry a boy of his choice. And her parents cannot force her to marry someone else.
