can mother write in will which property she wants to give to children

I and my sister live in a house owned by my father.Can my mom write a will in which she can allocate her property i.e. share of house, to me and my sister?If yes,then how?

If your father is still alive and he is the owner of the house, then obviously mother has no share. If your father has expired without making any will, then your mother, your sister and you will have equal shares (provided that you do not have any other siblings). In those circumstances, your mother can make a will in respect of her share. Ask her to register her will.

firstly your father is alive and the property is owned by him , he has to execute a will and bequeath the property. In case wherein your father has not executed any will and is no more. Then in such case the legal heirs come in picture and accordingly you mother is a legal heir and she can part her rights in the property to whomever she wishes to
