Can i take action against my family for harassing me

I am a 25 year old girl from Ludhiana Punjab India. My family is sexually and physically abusive. I tried to report police but they gave no concern towards me and accused me of misbehaving at home. I have a nice job and I can definitely take care of myself. So I want to legally leave home because I know I have a right to do just that. Please tell what should be my first step?
you lodge complaint with police against culprit.also note down your complaint number.if ilaka police officeis not taking action on your complaint.you pl go to commissioner of police .even if police is not taking action then filed complaint in court.

Dear client, if the police is not taking any action, you have remedy to file a complaint directly in court of CJM against the family member who are harassing you. It is better directly approach to the Court.
