04-May-2023 (In Family Law)
My cousin died & I ( aus citizen ) want to marry my widow sister in law( india citizen). We both love each other . It's legally allowed to marry as per Indian law. We have a joint property from grandfather. I deserve one share as a grand child . My widow cousins brother's wife(my future wife) have a one share. She got two kids from my cousin. My question is after I marry to my sister in law we both claim our share in property?

Yes, it is legally allowed to marry your sister in law. In your joint property, if it is an ancestral property the property will be divided according to Hindu Succession Act and all the legal heir will get their share accordingly.
