Can I marry my second cousin is this legally allowed?

Dear sir/mam, To be frank i m very sorry to ask these inconvinient question but i need the solution, i marry a guy i luv him alot but he s my second cousin (that relation is sis and bro relation but not in the same family)last year we registered our marriage, actually we are going to tell that to parents and planned to take passport. Wat are possible leagal trouble we are going to face please suggest me the solution. I need to live with him, i luv him last seven year i cant live without him so please give a gud suggestion to me. I hope to get a gud answer

The answer to your question would depend on your religion. If you are Hindu's then your relationship would be one of a "prohibited degree" and therefore not recognized in law. Please do state whether your marriage has been registered. Such relationships may be allowed for persons belonging to other religions, such as muslims. If your personal law or customary laws prevalent where you live allow for such marriages then it may be allowed as well.
