Can grand children claim on grand parents property living separately

03-Jul-2023 (In Family Law)
I am Hindu- brahmin lady aged 31 years. I got married to man ( Hindu) ,age 32 years in Nov 2012. My mother -in law (MIL) left her husband 15 years ago reportedly due to some personal reasons and is staying with us. Myself, my Husband and Mother in Law are all living together in a house purchased by my MIL from out of the money given by her mother and Brother. House in the name of MIL. I have now conceived and in the advance state of pregnancy (with Twins). Both my MIL and Husband forced me to undergo abortion (this is second time) but I refused to do so. I am now in my parents’ house and my husband has sent a message threatening to divorce me, if i do not undergo abortion and both my MIL and husband have stopped talking to me since 7 months. My Husband has no regular income. Whether any provision in law for my minor children to claim over their grandmother’s property ( House, Car and Jewels) for their upbringing and education. I do not like to divorce my husband. What should I do?

Why your husband and MIL wants you to go for abortion what is their problem. Your MIL property inherited by from her mother and brother gives her the absolute right on the property in which you and your husband don't have any right. But still you can file Domestic Violence case against them and ask for maintenance for you and your children. Consult any advocate.
