Can daughters claim the share in mother's property? Religion Hindu
As per Hindu succession amendment act, Women has the power of testamentary disposition of the property ( acquired /ancestral ) whereas men have the testamentary disposition of only acquired and not ancestral.
Son / Daughter have equal rights over the paternal ancestral property whereas they don't have any rights over ancestral property of Mother , acquired property of Mother or Father unless they die intestate .
