Dear Client,
Particulars are insufficient. Whether the property is the self acquired property of your grand mother or she got from her ancestors. If it is self acquired property your mother can dispose off without considering other people. What is the documents that was registered by your grand mother in the name of your mother. Whether it is a will, conveyance deed or other type. You must give full particulars.

Hi
Need to know whether your grand mother executed a registered Gift deed or a registered WILL in the name of your mother.
if your grand mother was the owner of the property and has executed a Registered Gift deed on your mother, then your mother is the absolute owner of the property subsequent to the execution of registered gift deed. she does not need consent of her children to execute a gift deed in favour of your mother.
If it is a Registered Will, then you should get the WILL probated in the court of law and claim the ownership of the property.

Hello,

If the property your grandmother possessed was her self acquired property and if she registered the same on your mother's name, then your mother is the absolute owner of the property and she could sell to anyone she wishes to. However, if the property is an ancestral one, your grandmother has no rights to transfer and register the property on your mother's name as all other siblings of your mother have equal share in the property along with your mother. I hope this clarifies.
