Anti dowry case matter

Dear Lawyer, I work in Qatar & got married a few months earlier.Within 15 days of my marriage,I caught my wife talking to her long time boyfriend.She called her family & told them that I beat her.Her family came with goons and almost looted my house.We filed a case against the matter.The girl in return put anti dowry and domestic violence case against me.I had to resume my duty so I came to Qatar.The police in their investigation found out that no violence has been done against her even asking from the neighbours as we live in an apartment. Now they are pressurizing family to give 1 crore as settlement and she is asking me maintenance. Passport office sent a letter to my home in India asking about the explnation about this case.I wonder what passport office has to do in this?Are the authorized to ask any explanation from me since the matter is subjudice? Kindly help me as I get to hear news everyday.Sometimes they call my parents and threaten them.

Sir, this is a very brutal weapon in hands of a married girl. I will suggest you to file case of loot against their family members and plea for compensation of the damages and file case for threatening also. If you have any direct evidence against her then only file divorce. In such a case contest with her. Settlement amount is big which she is trying to claim.
Passport office is enquiring because complaint about domestic violence has been sent to them also. All cases including maintenance, domestic violence, harassment are criminal in nature.
Carry-on with your job till anything is ordered from court for you to come and appear.

she can ask for the maintenance as she is your legally wedded wife. you can ask for divorce on the ground of cruelty. passport office has nothing to do in this case. if they threaten your parents you can lodge a criminal complaint against her
