Which court to apply for change of DOB in passport

04-Apr-2023 (In Documentation Law)

Dear Sir/Madam, I was born in tuticorin, but I live in Bangalore since 30 yrs. As I am born b4 1989, my initial passport was taken with SSLC cert as DOB proof. Recently when I appld for Birth certificate(for higher studies/job abroad), it was discovered that the DOB in sslc is wrong. Hence applied for corection of DOB in pasport. The passport authorities are seeking court order for this correction. Pls confm legally from which court should I get the order- is it Bangalore or Tuticorin? My perma adress is in Blore and I applied for passport in Bangalore, my BC is issued at tuticorin.

You need to get orders from the court under whose jurisdiction birth certificate was issue.
