There are many types of companies such as proprietorship company and private limited company. Each has its own merits and demerits. Other than that you will need FSSAI license or if your expected turnover is very low then you will need food registration in place of license.

You can incorporate a private limited company under the Companies Act, 2013. You would require minimum 2 shareholders and directors to incorporate. The documentation involves address proofs and identity proof of the proposed shareholders / directors. Once the company is incorporated, you can carry on the restaurant business in the name of company.
Further, in order to run a restaurant business, you would also require service tax and vat registrations and a food business operator license from the FSSAI, in addition to local municipal approvals, if any.

You require following documents for registration of a company :

1. Scan Copy of Self-attested PAN Card of Directors.

2. Scan Copy of Self-attested AADHAR of Directors.

3. Address Proof For the Registered Address of the Company & Rent Agreement.

4. 2 Passport Size Photographs of Directors.

5. Contact Details of the directors, along with the suggested name of the Company and a brief write up about the nature of the company.


After the registration of the company you will be required to take permission from various local bodies for running a hotel in the said property.
