Want to apply for Portuguese passport cant due to father's accident

I cannot apply for my Portuguese passport, due to my fathers accident case, as I need his Indian passport to be made only for my Portuguese passport purpose not for him traveling outside But his court case is still pending And for that reason I couldn't forward my passport process His age is 60 years and a retired govt servant Please suggest me will greatly thank full to you
You can plead to the court to release your father’s passport as you need it for a bonafide reason.
