Procedure to transfer father's property to mother's name

07-Nov-2023 (In Documentation Law)
Hi, My father passed away few months back. Before he passed away, he had written a will, which has been registered in the court. As per the will; after his death the house needs to be transferred on my mothers name and after/when she passes away, the house needs to be transferred onto the sons name. Is a legal heir certificate required to transfer the property on my mothers name OR is the will good enough to transfer the property onto my mothers name? And Pl advise the supporting documentation required for the transfer?

First, your father has to get the Death Certificate of your G.Father, from the municipal corporation / applicable authorities.

Then give an application to the concern department for the same.
Some of the department, act on the basis of the said application and the D. Certificate, some require, I.Bond, and declaration that your father is the only surviving legal hears.
Some require, Succession Certificate, which this regard, which can be obtain by filing civil suit in the applicable court of jurisdiction.
