Procedure to change adopted daughter's name

we have adopted a girl child. By the court aadesh her name is sulekha and we want to do change her name by another name. Then what is the process for this to change the name. Because corporation says that they will not change the name bcoz it is in the court's aadesh. After that how to change in the name everywhere.
The right procedure is getting a notice published in a local News Paper, regarding your intention to change your name/or add surname to it, and subsequently get it published in Gazette of India.
These days Gazette prints have been discontinued, so you may have to check with concerned press in your city, if they still print the Gazette Notification, or it is given to you in soft copy.
