Procedure to apply for a marriage certificate to get visa for wife

I want to get married legally in Mumbai. My self and the bride are from Akola. My question is can I get the marriage certificate from Mumbai Registrar or I have to approach Akola Registrar? Note - Notarized affidavit will not work for me as I need to apply for a Visa for the bride, the company needs the marriage certificate.
