Power of attorney agreement is not registered will it be valid?

My agreement was a power of attorney agreement , in that case I paid 5lakh agreement advance. Both documents are not registered at a registrar office. So that these are valid or not

"I am assuming that the documents you are referring to were for the sale of a property. Power of Attorney (POA) sales prior to 2011 are recognized. If the transaction occoured post 2011 then it would not constitute a valid document to execute a conveyance/sale deed as per the judgment of the Supreme Court in the Suraj Lamps case. 
A POA is not require to be compulsorily registered. If the transaction is prior to 2011 you will have to execute the required conveyance/sale deed and pay the required stamp duty."
