Name correction through official Gazette publication

Hi sir, My father surname is wrongly printed in my acedimics as singh..whereas the correct one is bansal. The query is that whether my father's surname in my documents be corrected by making name change publication in official Gazette by me.

No. No academic department will change your name in your academic records on the basis of publication in official gazette. The correct way is to take a declaratory decree from civil court in this regard.

Hello dear, well it will depend upon your education board whether they will change it by mere publication in newspaper. If they do not then file a civil suit for declaration and pass a decree from court to change your name in your records and any other relief you want.
