name correction in certificate

my father's name is bijay singh. but in my 10th board certificate it is bijay kumar singh. since i passed my 10th in 2006. so it is difficult to get new certificate i have done affidavit before executive magistrate.will it work in legal matters . i am trying for govt. jobs. will that create any problems?
Whether it would be problematic or not would depend from one government department to another. You may enquire about the application process through an RTI if need be. Further, you may make an application in writing to the board to have a duplicate/corrected certificate or marksheet issued if required
