Name change of son different name on different documents

My son's name has got different surname than me. In all the documentations we have mentioned his name as the one which is dirrefent than our family name. Recently I understood this mistake & accordingly at the time of his Passport renewal I got it done & now in his Passport it is mentioned his correct name and which is different from the names on other documents . Just now he has finished his X class CBSE exams for which all the documentation has been as in the past i.e.,whith the old name. Now I want to change it to the correct name. Please let me know how to go ahead in this regard as I want to get this correction done before the results are out and his name in the Marks sheet is correct to avoid any future issues for his study abroad. Your timely help will be highly appreciated.

You must first make a representation to the School Authorities. They will suggest procedure. As per law the procedure is to file a Civil Suit against the Board Which issues marks list and make corrections in school records and also in marks list. If you join your son in his higher studies then make the higher study board and college people in civil suit as party to the suit for making corrections. Take legal assistance by engaging an expert advocate who deals in the matters of filing civil suits for correction of surname.
