Issue getting passport because of difference in mother's name

I have an issue regarding documentation of my passport. I have applied for passport but due to my mother's name is different on birth certificate and school certificate, my passport is on hold. Can you please guide me regarding this because i need to submit both in my passport office asap. Looking forward to hear from you soon.
And if you are born before 26.01.1989 then just 10th class certificate will be sufficient as proof of DOB. But try to keep the details same in all the legal documents in future.There would not be any problem during document verification
