Is site plan of property needed for property registration?

Do I need to attach a description and a site plan of the property when I submit the papers for property registration.
A full and identifiable property description should be provided. The registration department converts these details into index particulars and to generate Encumbrance Certificates. The Accuracy of these details will result in proper indexing of the document and will help people identify the registered transactions on the property.
