10-Jan-2023 (In Documentation Law)

in rajasthan medical pre pg entrance, 50% seats are filled by all india exam (reservation rules as per centre). Rest 50% by state (reservation rules as per state). out of this state quota, further 50% seats are reserved for in-service doctors. reserved category in-service doctors get further caste reservation in this 50% reserved seats for in-service doctors. is this constitutionally correct 'reservation in reservation'?

Reservations can be made if there is a nexus between the reservation and the objective it has to achieve. If there is a rational nexus between the two then such laws which give preference to one section of people over another can be implemented. However, if you feel that the provisions are unfair then you may challenge them by way of a writ petition before the appropriate high court. Feel free to get in touch if we could be of any further assistance to you.
