Is DCTP approval for plot in non metropolitan corporation necessary

I have a plot situated in kulavanikarpuram village Panchayat, Melapalayam municipality, Tirunelveli corporation.Approved under town extension scheme vide 148/07/TP3 dt 1/2/08. Is it necessary to get DCTP approval
DTCP is a body structured and meant for plots and other residential structures outside Chennai Limits and within Tamil Nadu. If you are buying a plot it is safer and advisable to buy a DTCP approved plots. This is because to get a approval from the DTCP the seller has to lay proper roads and have to give necessary access to other basic amenities. whereas to the contrary the unapproved plots are sold without following these steps and only by demarcating the boundaries. There are so many cases where people bought plots and after some year passed not able to find there own plots and ended in trouble. Hence, to avoid this kind of trouble you may buy a DTCP approved plots. And also normally banks will not fund loan for a unapproved plots
