How to rectify father's name on birth certificate

06-Mar-2023 (In Documentation Law)
My father has not completed sslc, but 8th. In all my certificates father's name is written as Skaria. But in birth certificate it is as Scaria. So I requested them to correct it. They asked me to produce letter about details of father's schooling from school. So when I checked that I came to know that it is not Scaria or Skaria, it is Zacharias in school register. Even my father didn't know that this is the spelling in school register. He has been using Skaria as correct spelling for all purposes like even in agreements also. Now is there any way to correct the school register with the correct spelling. What to do to make it Skaria instead of Zacharias.

From the Village Office, you will get a certificate called as "one and the same person certificate" stating that both, Scaria and Zacharias are one and the same person. Produce the same and sometimes they may insist for an affidavit too with the attestation of a Magistrate. Hope by that, they can change it. If not you may have to approach the court.
