How to purchase a new car when I do not have local address proof

I want to purchase a new sedan car for commercial purposes in kolkata, but i do not have a voter id card or passport of here which is necessary, i studying in kolkata & stay here for more than 5 yr. so i purchase it in name of my friend who is from kolkata. so what is the legal procedure which i need to do for my future risk, of ownership of my car with my friend.
To register a car in your name you require an address proof of your residence. A rent agreement between you and your landlord is also sufficient or an electricity bill of your residence.
It is advised that you should get your car registered in your name to avoid any future dispute.
