Havent received my passport even after 3 months what is the remedy

Waiting for my passport but didn't get even after 3months reasons told to me is that passport office want to verify authenticity of my birth certificate. It is consuming more time.I am waiting since 17/10/2016 Kindly suggest I am born in Delhi and married in Haryana
The Regional Passport office (RPO) has embarked on a special pendency clearance drive. Please wait for four weeks. If you still do not receive your passport, please visit the Passport Office (PO).
