Filled wrong marks in form whether this will effect govt job

My friend had cleared exam of Senior Section Engg in Guwahati zone. He had all his documents right.While filling up application form he had by mistake mentioned his 10th class pass out year as 2008 instead of 2006. Though in documents it is 2006 and original has been shown. Does this case qualify as ground for rejection?
