Father's name misspelled in mark sheets, how to rectify

My father's name is mispelled in my 10th and 12th marksheets so would an affidavit claiming that the spelling mentioned in marksheet should be corrected to the correct name be enough for various purposes like allotment of passport, etc.

No it is not possible to get things done like this, for the purpose of passport or for any other document you will have to get a correction done in your mark sheet from the board office.
