I know it is mandatory for both bride and groom to be present at the time of solemnising of marriage under special marriage act. But Is it also mandatory for both groom to be present at the time when they apply 30 days earlier ?
Yes, it is mandatory for both parties to be present at both time. This is necessary because statements have to be given before the judge on oath, and these statements then have to be countersigned by both parties.
