Dates mismatch in Hard and Digital copy of Degree Certificate

20-Jun-2023 (In Documentation Law)
I graduated in July 2015 from a college affiliated to PTU. I received digital copies of all academic certificates by Sep 2015 which I had printed on a bond paper. I received hard copy of my Degree(Dated 8 July 2015) on April 2016 on Convocation. There was a misprint and I had applied to the university via college, to issue me a correct Degree Certificate. They did not forward it back to my college. I went to PTU today and got the correct degree with different date (20 June 2017) as well as reference no. They told me verbally that this is the new degree from now on and earlier ones are void. Both the digital and hard copies have QR code on them. In past I had uploaded/submitted attested copies of my digital certificate. I had applied to few foreign universities using the same. If in future, the universities or Embassy ask for an original degree, there will mismatch in Date and ref. no. How should I justify my case then? What documents/affidavits do I need to have?

In the given situation, you can file an application in the concerned universities regarding the said correction of the date in the said degree and to get it changed or asking them to give you a letter that there was a mistake on the part of the universities as the degree provided to you earlier was also a valid degree . Also, you can make an affidavit stating the same and get it notarized.
