Can title deed be transferred in absence of sale deed?

hi i want to transfer property documents from my mom name to my name but original sale deed is not there, only xerox copy of sale deed and up to date tax paid receipts are there?

Bring the xerox copy of the sale deed, I will help you to transfer your property from your mothers name to your name. And also bring all the other document that you have like tax paid receipts and Khatha.

mother can transfer the property to her son as long as she is the owner having marketable title to the property. In the absence of original sale deed of the mother, certified copy of the sale deed can be obtained for reference.
