Can I ride bike without NOC for two months

recently i got bike from karnataka through indian railways for temporary purpose for 2 months without noc..today i was caught by one cop and i have all valid documents except NOC...he was demanding 5k amount for not having noc..is there any section for NOC or is there any law of paying 5000 amount for not having noc..it's been just 15 days since i'm riding this bike..just for 2 months do we need NOC???section 47 motor vehicle act says v can ride in another state for 12 months...please reply me...thanks in advance..

In the instance , NOC is required only if you are re- registering it in the new state.
you can use the bike in the other state for such short periods. To avoid problems during police checking's take a no pollution certificate , before you shifting to the other state. then you can show the police or RTA officials trust that you are not a permanent resident
