Wife staying separate for 3 yrs not wiling to divorce asking for money

Wife is staying separate for 3 and a half years. She is also not wiling to give me divorce. She is neither wiling to come back and also asking for loads of money. What can i do? What are my rights?

You can file for divorce on the ground of desertion and cruelty. Desertion is a ground for divorce when Husband or wife leaves the company of other without his or her consent for a continuous period of two years and both of them are not living together and not cohabiting then it becomes a ground a ground for seeking divorce under Hindu Marriage Act. Apart from this, it also amount to cruelty inter-alia other issues between husband and wife and on the basis of same one can file for divorce.
