Once you have compromised , will have to see the compromising petition and order given on that compromise , the next have to seen what is the status of your case now , it's a matter that you have to take carefully now , whether to purchase property on whose name or not depend upon relation with each other , hence no one can pressurise anyone ,that is illegal and extortion ,but not against wife .

[1]. If the property purchased in the name of Husband only after his demise the property rights will come to the Wife and their Children, if no will is made.

[2]. Better buy the Property Jointly in the name of Husband and Wife.

[3]. If the property purchased in the name of Wife only after his demise the property rights will come to the Husband and their Children, if no will is made.

No she may claim it as her own property, it at all it may be taken up in joint name.

2).Is it better to buy the property only on the husbands name ?
If it is purchased by husband it is always advisable to buy in the name of the husband only.

3).Or better to buy a property jointly. This is to take necessary precautions buy the husband?
while buying the property in the joint name it is advisable to mention in the deed that the property is purchased out of the income of the husband, as later they may claim that the property is purchased out of the dowry amount.
Also if the wife buys property after marriage can husband get a share in it. (Marriage as per SMA 1954)

wife has a right in the property of the husband if died intestate, even otherwise, if there is a brake down of the marriage, she can claim half share in the property of the husband.

Dear Querist,
Let he husband buy the property in his name. If there is no trust it is better to avoid joining wifes name. Once it is a self aquired property it is the discretion upon the husband to to have or dispose off the property according to his choice.
