Wife in relationship with other man before divorce

My sister left her husbands home 2 years ago. And now, there was this man, she started visiting before divorce thinking that once the divore is done, she will marry this new person. So one day this man calls my sister to a hotel and they spend the night, this all being before the divorce, the new guy promised to marry her and hence she went and now somehow the Husband came to know about this matter and has sent a legal notice mentioning my sisters wearabouts and not just that the guy who promised to marry her has also agreed to testify in court. We have no clue what to do next. Kindly guide.
