Wife filed harassment case against me what can I do

30-Jun-2023 (In Divorce Law)
My wife has filed the Matrimonial Suit against me under cruelty ground and at the initial process I submitted my denial WS to the court ....and her cross examination is going on which will be followed by her other two witness and we are confident that she will not be able to prove her allegations against me what she has mentioned in her petition as those are not based on facts and at this situation will it be mandatory for me to depose my witness or we can go straight way to argument based on the deposition of prosecution witness ? Can we do the same if we find she fails to prove her allegations ?

Hi, since you are already at the advance stages of your trial you should try to trust your advocate.Cross Examination and evidence are both very important aspects of a case to built or demolish a claim. The need of having witnesses depends upon the kinds of allegations.More advice can only be tendered after vetting the facts of your case and order sheet.

It is recommended to place your defence evidence on record to support your arguments at the later stage. It is the defandants right, and if your have your strong evidence it is not recommended to close it.

As per your version if there is no evidence against you then it is up to you whether you want to produce any evidence or not. It's your right to that you want to give evidence or not , since there is no evidence against you without wasting more time or delaying the matter it would be better that you don't give any evidence and proceed for final arguments.
