04-Feb-2023 (In Divorce Law)
I have 3 children and marriage happened more than 20 years back. Now past two years my wife started liking other person and wants to marry him. She is seeking divorce but I am not ready for the divorce. My family also is asking to reconcile and not to divorce. Need your advice.

Sir, as you dont want to Divorce your wife and stay with her why dont you try mediation through the court and try to reconcile the marriage. but if she still does not agree then for your and yours kids better future you should get separated. no point fighting and staying together,

It's good that you don't want divorce.

You will just have to defend the case of divorce filed against you.

Loving another person and desire to marry him are not sufficient grounds for getting divorce. Means, if your wife has no other grounds except these, then she will not succeed in getting divorce, don't worry!

Keep trying to reconcile the dispute meanwhile..

If your wife is not serious about relation with her husband i.e. with you. There is no point in forcing her to live with the relation. But if you do not want to give her divorce you can file sec 9 for restoration of conjugal rights. Also you can file one application before nearest Police Station for her post marital relation & putting pressure on you to give her divorce. These two steps will led you in the matter & If your will try to sue you before court you would be in a position to defend yourself properly.
