As per the Indian law, alimony is mostly of two types. The one which is paid at the time of the courts proceedings it is known as the maintenance amount and the other is paid after separation the latter one can be paid as a lump sum amount at the time of separation or a fixed instalment in fixed duration.

Dear client, the property which both purchased from your earnings is applicable for the right but depends on the conditions.but not in hereditary property.at present you are jobless and she is in work you have a chance for maintenance from her. as per section 125 ofCRPC file petition for maintenance from her so that you will get relief from all payments and she will try to give divorce immediately if she thinks so.but think once again as our parents shows unwillingness for our divorce, 40sas you both may be above the 40s, if you like my advice proper please rate me.may God shower all blessings to relieve from these circumstances.

Hi

Your wife cannot claim your property in which you have rights
She can only claim your separate property only for the purpose of the maintenance which is subject to the result of contesting petition before court with merits

Sir,
Assuming you both are Hindus or marriage registered under special marriage act ,and since both of you want Divorce the best option is to file mutual consent divorce. If you have immovable property in your name you can ask for it to live in or half share of the sale proceeds.Maintenance if she has always been working and financially stable then no maintenance.
