What is the punishment if husband cannot give maintenance to wife

If person who did not able to give monthly expenditure to his wife as court decided and court decided to recover this by sale his property. Property is not enought so let me know what will be maximum punishment.
If Husband can not pay maintenance then he would be sent to jail and Longer he stays in jail his maintenance liability would get reduced and finally he can move bankruptcy Code and get himself declared bankrupt.He would not be paying.

If the property sale amount is insufficirnt to vover the msintensnce dues, the onus of making goof the differenve remains eith the husband. The court msy however alyer thr amount based on the eatning cspavity of the husband
