Petition for divorce can be filed at the place where marriage was solemnised or where the couple last resided as husband and wife after one years of separation. Place birth does not give jurisdiction to the court. I could not understand what you mean by uncontested divorce.

An uncontested divorce petition is filed as per the provisions of Section 13 B The Hindu Marriage Act better known as Joint Petition.Having been signed by both the parties it is presented before the Competent court which fixes a date not less than 6 months and after giving time for reconciliation ,the divorce decree is passed.
