What is the procedure for legal seperation

Hi I just need to know how to proceed with legal separation in following situation: 1. Marriage registered through Aarya Samaj 4 yrs back. 2. It was a love marriage. But not a single day the couples stayed together in 4yrs because the boy had job in other city & girl couldn't take risk of leaving her current job as the guy had some mental instability which made his financial status little weak. 3. Hes suffering from Schizophrenia. The situation was bad,he was in rehab & now hes with his parents n for 4 yrs the couple has never stayed together. Thank you.
