You told you are Christian but what about your husband?.Even for mutual divorce both the parties should appear before court at least for 2 times. So convince your husband and try to make him to appear before court.

You could file petition for divorce on mutual consent. For filing mutual consent petition the presence of parties is compulsory. It is only two occasion to appear before the court. At the time filing and after 6 months to give evidence. So try to convince him. Else you could get exparte order for the petition filed by you alone. In that case his presence is not necssary but he has to receive the court summon

Christians can file DOP... Before it was IDOP... You just file DOP in any District Court of your native District.... It is well and good if your husband does not appear.... It is called as exparte decree.. Court summons and if your husband does not appear you will be granted divorce... do not worry... best of luck.. please contact Law Rato for any assistance.

Hi,
If you and your husband decided to part ways, then divorce by mutual consent can be filled. However, if he intend to stay away from the proceedings, then you will be entitled to exparte decree. Hope this helps.
