it is a written contract between 2 people who are about to marry,setting out the term and conditions of possessions of assets,treatment of future earings,controle of propertyand division if marriage is later dissolve , this type of contract for those if both parties have substantial assets children from prior marriage inheriaence high income,in india it is not a governing lawbut it can be signed but it should need to be reasonable and not violatepre existing law like hindu marriage and others ,it can come under the contract law u /s section 10 that agreement are to be considered contract if they are made by is free consent of person however the section 23 states that contract may be void if they are against public policy .goa is only indian state where prenup is legally enforceable

Prenup agreement is an agreement entered into by the parties of a valid marriage providing the consequences at the time of divorce etc. and further declares the liabilities to be incurred on them. In some of the agreements the way of succession is also shown.I think excluding the court fee,ten thousand is sufficient for the agreement to be registered.
