what are legal rights against mutual Divorce?

22-Jun-2023 (In Divorce Law)
Hello Sir/Madam, My wife issued a mutual consent notice and lawyer stated that if i wont come to mutual consent you will be placed in criminal case for desertion and cruelty act section and also you need to pay alimony. Based on her wishes i gave mutual consent. My question is will they claim alimony though there is mutual consent divorce initiated by my wife? And also what happen if i unable to attend the court on that particular day due to some work or going abroad. Please let us know.

Sir,
If you are trying to close the issue by way of mutual consent, then while filing the case you are supposed to present and they give you six months time on that day you have come in person and file proof affidavit, based on that orders will be passed.

Hello,

1.You will not be placed in jail unless she has proof to back up the criminal complaints that she makes.
2. Yes,you have to pay alimoney. Howwever you and your wife can come to an understanding and mutually decide the amount to be paid.
3. If you are going abroad on that particular date, you may ask your lawyer to get an adjournment to a convinient date if the court allows it.
