What action can i take in continuous violence and drinking problem

Married for 13 years. There is constant drinking and domestic violence. Now i am living with my parents. I have a 12 year old daughter and 2 year old son. What all are my rights? What actions can i take against them?

These are the legal remedies available under the law. Application of remedies depends upon quantam and gravity of situations. You can exercise more than one remedy at a single point of time.

File a case for maintenance for yourself as well as for your children and also file a case of domestic violence. All the actions You will take depends on your will like what you want in your relationship? You want to live with your husband or you want a divorce? In any case you can take the remedy which i specified above.

You need to share whole inforation about your marriage as well as the violence against you although you can take legal steps agaisnt your in -laws under Domestic Violence Act and section 125 Cr.P.C. for maintenance for you and for your minor daughter by instituting cases in the court where you choses to live
